By Ngozi Onyeaksi — The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has handed over operating licenses to four insurance companies and one re-insurance firm to play in the Nigerian Insurance and re-Insurance markets.
The insurance firms include; Heirs Insurance General Limited and Stanbic IBTC Insurance Limited.
Others are Heirs Insurance Life, Enterprise Life Assurance Limited, FBS Re-Insurance Limited, Salam Takaful and Cornerstone Takaful Insurance Company Limitec.

The Commissioner for Insurance, Mr Sunday Thomas disclosed this at the ongoing Insurance Industry Consultative Council (IICC) Media Retreat In Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

The Commissioner, who was represented by the Director, Corporate Communication NAICOM, Mr Salami Rasaq said these companies from today have the blessings of the commission to operate in the insurance Industry.
