Operators in the Nigerian insurance sector have taken a bold step to revamp the sector such that  insurance business in country will be attractive to the younger generation.

This, which was one of the major decision taken by the operators at June edition of the Nigerian Insurers Committee (NIC) meeting held in Lagos was disclosed by the  Vice Chairman Publicity and Communication Committee,  Mrs. Ebere Nwachukwu.

According Nwachukwu, the rebranding exercise will go a long way to showcase benefits insurance can offer. “we want the insuring public to be informed and that Insurance should not be seen as unnecessary tool but a tool that can help them do other things.

Explaining the modalities for the rebranding, Nwachukwu, who is also the Managing Director/CEO, Zenith Insurance, stated that operators would be made to ensure quality service delivery in order to minimize complaints from clients even as she assured that services would be made accessible to the public to reduce fraudulent  practices.

She equally note the Committee has already appointed a specialist to advise it on the key components of the rebranding strategy while discussions are on-going on the implementation timeline
