… 3rd Edition Holds October In Abuja

 

Her Excellency the first lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun presenting the awards to the winners of the quiz competition from Isanbi High School.

 

By Ngozi Onyeakusi— Ilisan High School, Ogun State has emerged the winner in the second edition of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) quiz competition held in Ogun State.

The next edition of the Quiz Competition according to the institute will be holding in October 2021 in Abuja.

 

Recall that the maiden edition of the competition was held in Lagos, at the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Unilag on the 3rd of June 2021.

The third edition held as an insurance awareness visits to several Government Schools in Maiduguri, Borno State . The visit was led by the Commissioner for Education in the State, Alhaji Lawan Abba Wakilbe, who was ably supported by Alhaji Hamza Auwal, board member of NAICOM and Alhaji Muhd Abatcha permanent secretary at the education ministry.

According to CIIN, the quiz competition, which is for young adults at the secondary school level was aimed at sensitizing them and piquing their interest in the amazing world of Insurance.

Earlier in his address at the event, the President and Chairman of Council CIIN, Sir. Muftau Oyegunle noted that the quiz competition was borne out of the Institute’s desire to enlighten and introduce young minds to the amazing world of insurance. He pointed out that the competition was aimed at promoting the significance of insurance in our daily lives, community development, poverty alleviation, economic advancement and world peace.

Present at the event were the First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, the Oba of Ilisan, Kabiyesi Oba M.O.M Sonuga, Olofin of Ilisan, Mr. Tunde Hassan Odukale- Managing Director, Leadway Assurance and some other notable dignitaries.
